MHS students will be at the Stop and Shop at 1326 Boston Post Rd. selling raffle tickets Feb. 5-6 to raise funds for their trip to Senegal to deliver school supplies and build a library.

A group of Mamaroneck High School students will be selling raffle tickets at the Stop and Shop at 1326 Boston Post Rd. Saturday and Sunday to benefit “Students for Senegal.” The organization, which began at MHS, has donated books, school supplies, and sports equipment to kids in Lambaye, Senegal.   The group will be traveling to Lambaye later this month to deliver more supplies and help build a school library.

The raffle will include prizes such as an iPad, Knicks and David Letterman tickets as well as certificates to Rothman's, , ,  and other local businesses.

“Students for Senegal” was the brainchild of students in Amary Seck’s 10th grade chemistry class, who became inspired after they learned about the needs that existed in Seck’s home village.
