I…Read More attended many different type meetings in pursuit of an affordable, efficient, safe etc, transportation system. “I have been there before” as an called upon expert on these issues, and even articulated the clever outsourcing bus “logic” used by those in power in my book “An Other’s Mind”. It is against all economic principles demanding social justice and a lacking concern for dignity for us "others" for “outsourcing our bus system” to cost less than dealing with privatized economics of human services. Instead of our taxes going to education, which our own transportation system was connected to, we will be “crying” later for our lacking participation via demonstrations, law suits and other less “polite” means to control our children’s destiny by taking them out of the hands of people who can afford not to use buses or even, public schools. People who can send their children to private schools should not be serving on our boards; or we must make sure that those of us who send our children to public schools are on the board regardless of the board regulations established for membership. Dirty politics and games of profit are done privately. The poor worry about their next meal; the rich worry about having peace of mind so they can sleep.

Well how about that. I generally respect Dr. Shaps, but he just dropped in my estimation 25% after that daft comment. Really - the drivers didn't speed after the teachers got on board and complaints had been made? No way.

I love the market because it is not only a place to buy good food but as I live here it is nice…Read More to say hello to people I know casually and do not see other ways.Most people work and are not around so this is a pleasure- have a cup of coffee and walk around to see the vendors,buy some food to prepare ,gert a new recipe even if I do not make it the next dy or two and be out in the fresh air.
It would be nice if some of the farmers were more in line with the markets- sometimes I tell people I have to go with my gold stash- I do not mind paying for quality but it has to be quality -.I know the difference. so think about this. food is so important in our lives. It helps us keep healthy and live longer and satifies our needs in a simple way.We all have to eat so eat healthy and well and enjoy the food.pju
