The is proud to announce that this Monday, June 11, will mark its 75th continuous year of granting scholarships to needy MHS seniors.

On June 11, 54 seniors will receive a total of $250,000 in two-year scholarships at the PACE Auditorium at

The keynote speaker will be Claudia Huter, director of the Larchmont Music Academy and a past recipient of one of the Fund’s awards.

The scholarships, which are based solely on a family’s financial need, are raised through donations from members of the community. The Board is also comprised of volunteer community members.

"We are extremely proud that the Fund has thrived through more than seven decades," said President Alice Tenney. "Even when economic times have been particularly tough, as they have been these past few years, our community has stepped up to provide for its high school graduates."

Students who have received Fund scholarships said they are meaningful in two ways: the extra money means they can work fewer hours or rely considerably less on loans. And the awards are an indication of how much the Mamaroneck Larchmont community cares about its students as they go off into the world.
