The community voted "yes" to this year's $127.5 million school budget, with 79 percent of voters (1,624) marking their ballots in favor of the budget and 21 percent (427) saying no, according to the district.
In an email to parents, school officials said, "The District thanks the community for its support and appreciates the involvement of community members in our schools."
In the Rye Neck School District, the $38.2 million budget passed with voters, 2.7 to 1, and the $1.47 million bond for upgrades designed to improve security in the school passed 1.8 to 1 according to the school's website.
"We thank the voters of the Rye Neck UFSD for supporting the school budget and the bond for security improvements," said a statement on the district's website.
