Women and Alcohol: An Open Discussion of the Pleasures, Pains and the Powerful Effects

Several female authors will trade drinking stories at the Larchmont Public Library.

Editors Leah Epstein and Caren Gerszberg have gathered a collection of women’s drinking stories into an illuminating anthology, Drinking Diaries: Women Serve Their Stories Straight Up. Come hear entries (read by the editors) from several celebrated authors, including Joyce Maynard, Julie Powell, Ann Hood and Kathryn Harrison on Sunday, Sept. 30, 4 p.m. at Larchmont Village Hall, 121 Larchmont Ave. Complimentary wine and snacks at 3:30.
