Here are some of the things going on this weekend.

1. Friday Morning Yoga: Kick off the New Year with some yoga. The Greenburgh Nature Center hosts a Friday morning Yoga class for adults. Classes start promptly, drop-ins welcome. Fee is $20 per class, but packages are available at the nature center. For more information, call 914-723-3470 during business hours. 9 a.m., Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Road, Scarsdale.

2. "Solstice Synergy", Opening Reception: The Mahlstedt Gallery is hosting Solstice Synergy, a group exhibition featuring paintings and sculptural works by artists working in the greater New York Tri-state area, including Eric Hibit, Osamu Kobayashi, Tang-Wei Hsu, Tom Costa, Tom Smith, and Vince Contarino. 3. Hope Changes Everything: “Freedom’s Gate” at Mamaroneck Library: Meet 91-year-old WWII Veteran John Kulhan on Sunday as he shares his memoir, FREEDOM'S GATE. Admission is free; autographed copies of his book will be available for purchase. Call the library at 914-698-1250, Ext. 3, to reserve a seat. 2 p.m., in the Community Room, Mamaroneck Library, 136 Prospect Ave., Mamaroneck.
