Engel Visits Mamaroneck, Talks Sandy Recovery

From the office of Rep. Eliot Engel:

Congressional Eliot Engel met with Mamaroneck Town Supervisor Nancy Seligson to discuss the importance of continuing the recovery from Hurricane Sandy, of federal funding in protecting Long Island Sound, and other environmental issues.

Rep. Engel said, "After Hurricane Sandy, Supervisor Seligson and I toured the area to inspect the damage and determine what we could do, working as partners, to help the community. The government may be closed but it is still necessary to continue the work that only the federal government can do. That is why I continue to meet with constituents and why I am keeping my offices open so that constituents may still come for help."

Also at the Wednesday meeting with Supervisor Seligson were George Drapeau of the Construction Industry Council of Westchester and Hudson Valley, as well as Sean Mahar, Erik Schneider, and Karen Lee of Audubon NY.
