Potholes in Larchmont!

Help! Killed my car! Pothole blew out my front two tires! called County to report pothole  pn  murray avenue and forest avenue. $600 in tire damage and bent wheels to boot. Had tires fixed at J&F Chatsworth; haven't fixed bent wheels yet; getting the run around from the County. Even though they have the pothole/crater "on their list", they need to have formal written complaints to take responsibility for the damage. Please write! Westchester County County Clerk, 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., White Plains, NY 10601 or call Westchester Dept. of Law, Mary Sakowicz 914-995-2740.
ANY INFO OR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

OMG there are tons of potholes all over the county. I've really noticed it the last 2-3 weeks. It's just like it was 3 yrs ago after all that snow. They need to fix this all over. You're right, it's costing all of us a lot of money and time (and I've had similar experiences. I fear that they will need to wait until after all this snow melts to fix it.

Well there hasn't been snow in a few days but waiting is not prudent. Cones can be put up to warn drivers if they can't be patched. Not only is it unfair to tax paying citizens to incur thousands of dollars worth of damage but it's dangerous! People stop short and swerve to avoid the holes; what if a child was walking to school(as there is a school right there). Horrible to imagine what could happen. People new to write letters to get things fixed in a more expedient manner instead of just accepting what's unacceptable.

First, thx for posting this...I literally was on that intersection and because of you, I avoided the pothole. Yes, that one was huge. Unfortunately, later, on Weaver, I hit a different one and did a bit of damage to my wheel. Thankfully, it only cost $35. But, yes this is pathetic. And, tonight, my boyfriend had similar problem (in New Canaan I believe). They need to fix this stuff. They are all over - roads and highways alike.

Good. I'm glad you were spared the hassle!
