The Caldecott Awards are presented
each year by the American Library Association to the most outstanding picture
books of the year. Come celebrate the art of the picture book with local
illustrator Wendy Popp and Children's Librarian Marca McClenon.  Hear
about the books that are on the short list for the Caldecott Award to become
the most distinguished American picture book for children in 2013, vote for
your favorite, and try your hand at making your own
illustrations. Registration required by phone or in person beginning
Monday, December 16.
