Boiano Bakery Health Violation Immediately Corrected

The health inspector acknowledged the offense received immediate attention during the April 2013 visit.

One Mamaroneck establishment cited with a violation from the Westchester County Department of Health had the violation corrected at the time of the inspection.

According to information provided by Edward A. Davidson, a lawyer and advisor to Boiano Bakery's owner Pat Colalillo, the violation for which the bakery was cited on April 18, 2013, was corrected immediately and acknowledged by the inspector.

Glass cleaner was found left on a prep table in the rear of the kitchen, the report said, adding it was "corrected at this time."

The fact that the violation was immediately corrected was not included on the state's “Health Data NY” section of the New York “Open Data Portal.” which contains a searchable map for food service establishments in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester Counties. The map shows “critical violations” for the establishments during the last recorded inspection by the state health department.

Boiano Bakery is located at 258 Mamaroneck Ave. in Mamaroneck.

I hope there will be follow-ups about the other restaurants listed in Westchester. This article did a lot of damage. I agree that we should be aware of these situations, but a lot of it was old information. I hope Patch will do the responsible thing and follow up.
