The Larchmont Yacht Club, which finished a close second to the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in the 2013 Invitational Cup, has been invited to this year's Qualifying Series, according to yachtsandyachting.com.
It was one of three U.S. clubs invited to compete this fall in Newport, RI. The top three finishers win a chance to race in the 2015 Invitational Cup, the prestigious international race hosted every other year by the New York Yacht Club.
