Lou Young, TV News Personality, to MC Spelling Bee

The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library have announced that Lou Young, Larchmont resident and CBS-TV Channel 2 News personality, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for its 2nd Annual Larchmont Spelling Bee for Adults and Teens.

Young states, It's especially exciting to participate in an event that focuses our attention on the Library, a place dedicated to the accumulation and organization of knowledge in an age that seems to linger on the brink of information chaos."

Ellie Fredston, an organizer of the Spelling Bee, and Friends of the Larchmont Public Library board member, said “Having Lou as Master of Ceremonies will give the Bee an extra bit of excitement; and we’re thrilled to have him.” She added that all spellers should start signing up their teams now, to ensure a spot in the Bee.
