Trivia and Halloween Events
Here are some things you need to know for Thursday, October 31, 2013.
1. Love trivia? Head over to Tequila Sunrise at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 31, for the weekly trivia contest hosted by Trivia Tryst. There are gift certificates for the winners: $50 gift certificate for first place, $25 for second and $10 for third. Tequila Sunrise is located at 145 Larchmont Ave. in Larchmont.
2. Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, 1 Mead Way, has transformed the Performing Arts Center into a theatrical nightmare—House of Le Grand Guignol. The free event starts at 8 p.m. With terror lurking around every corner, this immersive, interactive event deconstructs three short plays of violence, horror, and sadism popular in 20th-century Parisian cabarets. It promises to be a devilishly fun evening of demented nuns, twisted scientists and roving lunatics. The performance is not appropriate for children. 3. Halloween might be a little damp. The forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. with a high near 67. There is a 100 percent chance of showers after 8 p.m., with the low near 58.
