Disaster Preparedness, Story Time and Chance of Flurries
Here are some of the things you should know for Thursday, January 23, 2014.
• SCORE, the small business mentoring organization, is hosting a free webinar at 2 p.m. Thursday on "Social Media & The Cloud: Disaster Preparedness." You participate with your own computer. For more information and a link to register, go here.
• It's Sing a Story Time at Groove, 108 Chatsworth Ave. in Larchmont at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. For a description of the free event, suitable for ages 1 to 3, click here.
• Cold again. For Thursday there is a 30 percent chance of scattered flurries between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 21. The wind chill could be as low as minus 8. Overnight, there is a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 7 p.m. It will be partly cloudy with a low around 7. Again, the wind chill could get as low as minus 8.
