Dinosaurs, Potatoes and Sunny Weather

Here are a few things you need to know in Larchmont and Mamaroneck for Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

1. Children ages 5 to 7 can make their own Dino-Spy Bottles at 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 20 at the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave. There will also be books about dinosaurs that will be read. Register in person or by calling 914-834-2281.

2. Yesterday was National Potato Day—yes, it's a thing—and no, I didn't get you anything. Except this recipe.

3. The weather for Tuesday is predicted to be sunny with a high near 87, according to the National Weather Service. For Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear with a low near 68.

4. ICYMI: There are going to be closing on the Bronx River Parkway again this week. Here's the information.

5. High tide Tuesday will be at 11:28 a.m., with low tide at 6:05 p.m. High tide is also at 11:46 p.m. At 6:33 a.m. Wednesday, there will be a low tide.
