Public Works in the Town of Mamaroneck is made up of three departments: building, highway,More sanitation/recycling. </p> <p>The <b>building department</b> manages and enforces regulations related to property use and building construction; and it reviews plans and inspects fields to ensure compliance with codes and standards at the local, state and federal levels, particularly the Town Zoning Code and the New York State Family of Codes.</p> <p>Applications for construction, alterations, variances, special permits and subdivisions are received and processed by the building department, but may have to be channeled through the proper boards (Architectural Review, Zoning and Planning) for additional approval. </p> <p>Ronald Carpaneto is the town's director of building code enforcement and land use administration.
