Mamaroneck High School is part of the Mamaroneck Union Free School District, which covers an area of over eight…More square miles and includes the entire Village of Larchmont, the unincorporated area of the Town of Mamaroneck and most of the Village of Mamaroneck, excluding Rye Neck. </p> <p>The building that houses the school was erected in 1925 and has since gone through numerous renovations. </p> <p>Mamaroneck High School has a very diverse student body and offers a wide range of classes and extra-curricular activities. In addition to the Regents and Advanced Placement courses, the curriculum features classes such as "the Art of Film;" "Criminalistics," which focuses on the use of biology, chemistry and physics in solving crimes; and "Chinese," a five-year course sequence that begins in middle school. </p> <p>The arts program at the high school allows students to enroll in a four-year course of study in music, performing arts and visual arts. There are also photography and architecture classes. </p> <p>Mamaroneck High School has its own television/production studio, allowing students to broadcast a daily news show and develop skills that they can apply in college or beyond. </p> <p>The school's sports and non-athletic extra-curricular activities are quite extensive. There are approximately 70 student clubs and over 20 Varsity and JV level sports. </p>
