Founded in 1993, the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force is a coalition of community members, local organizations…More and houses of worship that assists local families in need of food.</p> <p>The food pantry is housed by the Mamaroneck Community Action Program (CAP) on Center Avenue. The task force operates with an annual budget of $180,000, out of which 90 percent is allocated to purchase food and basic items for the needy.</p> <p>Food distribution happens twice per month, usually on the Tuesday night and Wednesday morning of the 2nd and 4th week of every month.</p> <p>The task force is run by volunteers, so extra help is welcome. Volunteers can distribute food, organize food drives and/or raise funds. Young volunteers must be at least 10 years old. For more information, email volunteer@lmfoodpantry.org. </p>
