I agree.

It's not a quibble, Jerry. For those who read about this glorious fair but can't make it now forRead More whatever reason, there is another opportunity in the fall. Traditionally it's pretty much the same vendors.

Lets not quibble. The Crafts at Lyndhurst Spring Edition is an annual event. As is the LyndhurstRead More fall show which will be held this year on Sept. 20-22. Together they form a biannual or semiannual (either term means occurring twice a year) event.

Smellypants, I give you a good ribbing here and there, but you should suggest to the owner that theyRead More present some music of the type you are describing. Their programming has been fairly eclectic so they might be willing to give it a shot. Otherwise I hope you have a chance to visit the entertainment complex in Branson, MO - there's a whole lot to do there and the entertainment definitely fits the definition of "good clean". PS I would be remiss if I didn't point out however that Captain and Tenille shows these days are notorious for rampant nudity, gang violence, and open heroin use (*** kidding!!! ***)

You forgot the Cowsills

No Craig, I wouldn't complain if they had bands like Captain and Tenille, the Osmonds or the BackRead More Street Boys - good, clean music.

went to the 4/23 show, drove up from nyc - also saw Dylan on opening night and Prine a week and aRead More half ago. Performance was okay. Stopped in local liquor store to buy some booze I could not find in the city. Parked just on other side of the tracks sine the MTA lot was closed and for the first time saw what looked like the "nice" side of the village. Now I know some places I will definitely come back to for dinner before my next show. Cops outside the venue patrolling Shakedown St were very pleasant and good at keeping the peace. Venue is very well run and I am very glad to see it being successful. I will be back and spending more time and $ in your town - Thanks!

I think the business is great for PC and our growing community, however the traffic and crowds areRead More ridiculous, hopefully the PCPD will be able to better handle the traffic and crowds for the next show.

Thank you for the article. I did not mean to leave a negative comment, but just for everybody'sRead More information: Armenian history has no records of the Mamikonians being a "royal house". Yes, there were glorious princes - Vardan, Vahan, Mushegh Mamikonians, there was the glorious Princely house of Mamikonians, but they were all princes (ishxan), not kings (arqa or thagavor). So, I have no idea what is the basis for madame Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian to claim that she is "a descendent of the Armenian throne". The true descendents may come only from true royal houses of Armenia, namely the Haykazunis, Artashesians, Arshakunis, Bagratunis, or Rubinian-Lousignans. For more info you can check the official website of the Union of Armenian Noblemen: http://armenian-nobility.com/en/

Finally, a girl worthy of my Armenian son living in Larchmont. lol Laughing so loud.

What an ego!!! I didn't realize that we Armenians had such a person. We call our mothers TakouhiRead More (Queen) out of respect. That's the only royalty we acknowledge.

We need something like this here in New Rochelle. Wednesday night I drove 45minutes with friends upRead More to The Ridgefield Playhouse for a concert. We met at a local restaurant then went to the concert. Both places were buzzing and people were spending time and money. The concept is working well in many cities around us with the revitalization of several theaters. We have a lot of talented people and connections to the arts that it would only be fitting to make this happen at The Armory. This can be the catalyst for the future of New Rochelle and the Echo Bay Area. The New Rochelle Opera along with some solid proposals for dining, entertainment and even include some market to table ideas as suggested. With the new plan for the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District creating a new, larger farmers market this could be a prime opportunity for The City of New Rochelle.
