<p>The Village of Mamaroneck assessor is in charge of maintaining a yearly assessment of all properties in the village, which is used to establish village taxes, not taxes levied by the towns of Mamaroneck and Rye, or by the schools. The assessment is based on property value on January 1st of each year, the taxable status date.</p>
<p>The assessor's office maintains a record of all properties in the village and administers real property exemptions. Exemption applications are available at the assessor's office and must be turned in on or before January 1st. Grievance applications are available starting February 1st and until the third Tuesday of February, after which date applications will no longer be accepted.</p> <p>The current village assessor is Lloyd T. Wright and his office is in Village Hall at the Regatta on Mamaroneck Avenue. Meetings take place on the third Tuesday of February, from 5 - 9 p.m.</p>
