I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with MCNS. The minute I walked into the school and met Lynda Merchant, the Director, I knew this was the right school for my family. My daughter joined the 4s program and has totally flourished, both in terms of her maturity and academically. She made great friends, learned a vast array of academic topics, and LOVED her teachers. MCNS provides a great balance of structure and free time/choice, which helped her really enjoy coming every day. She loved it so much there were weekend days when she couldn't go that she would cry and ask if we could drive by! The teachers and staff are equally wonderful for the parents and provided amazing support and feedback to me.
I am enrolling my son in the 2s program in the fall and expect nothing but wonderful things for him as well. We went to the open house and stayed for the entire hour and a half because he was having so much fun!

One of the main reasons for moving to Westchester is to take advantage of the schools. There is no better way to start than at the MCNS school. All four of my children have attended and it has helped prepare them for the rigors of kindergarten. Each one of my children have made friends and have had experiences that they still talk about today. The teachers are extremely nurturing and are focused on the kids social development. The teachers are very patient and really get to know your kids. The beauty of this school is that the parents are able to participate and see first hand how everything works. Aside from my kids joy when my wife or I show up as "Snack Helper", you get to experience their days from their perspective. I have been impressed with their development and appreciate the friendships they have made.
My son Andrew started attending Playgroup in 2008, when he was not quite two years old, and he has had a wonderful experience both a the Toddler Center and at the Nursery School. His younger brother Alex is in Playgroup this year and will continue with Kid's Club next year. Roe, Fern, Lori, Katie, Sue, Margaret and Rose have been nurturing, energetic teachers who have encouraged my sons to learn on their own and with their peers, and who add a sense of wonder to the classroom every day. My kids absolutely love going to school, and I love that they love it!
MCNS offers a traditional approach to early education with learning through play . The staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring and nurturing. The outdoor playground is great and a nice balance to the classroom activities. All children are treated with the utmost respect and lovingly cared for. I have had 3 children go through the program with my 4th currently enrolled. All my kids have had a very positive experience at MCNS and have been very prepared for kindergarten, both academically and socially. I recommend MCNS without reservation.

My daughter is in the 4's program this year. This is her 3rd year at MCNS. She LOVES it here! I am really pleased with the structure of the program and truly feel the school has a terrific educational philosophy. Nursery school should nuture a child's sense of curiosity and imagination. The teachers and staff do a great job of creating a safe, FUN space where kids can truly be creative and grow in so many different ways! Both my daughter and I, love the days when I get to be the "Helping Mom". She loves sharing her school and friends with me and I love getting the opportunity to meet her friends and help them through their day. I would highly recommend MNCS!
