The Smokehouse of New York is an upscale smokehouse that serves only the freshest smoked fish and meat. While most smokehouses buy the fish already filleted, The Smokehouse splits, smokes and hand slices its fish. Though 90 percent of the business is dedicated to providing wholesale smoked fish and meat under the Portier Fine Foods label, there is a retail shop tucked away behind the smokehouse, which sells a wide range of foods including Caspian sea caviar, grain-fed poultry, game, charcuterie cuts, fresh fish and chocolates.
