Junior League of Westchester On the Sound
<p>Founded in 1950, the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound (JLWOS) is a women's non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of volunteerism, the development of women's potential, and the improvement of the Sound Shore communities through education. </p> <p>JLWOS has members in Harrison, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Port Chester, Rye and Rye Brook; and it reaches out to women of all races, religions and nationalities, who live in the Sound Shore area, are over 21 years old, and demonstrate and interest in volunteering.</p> <p>JLWOS' thrift store, the Golden Shoestring, is in the same location as the Larchmont office, on 149 Larchmont Ave.</p> <p>For more information, visit the Junior League's website at www.jlwos.org</p>
