The F.E. Bellows Elementary School, located at the corner of Boston Post Road and Carroll Avenue, is part of the Rye Neck School District. In 2009, it became a "Blue Ribbon" school, a recognition of superior standards of academic excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.
F.E. Bellows offers reading and writing through the content areas; a problem-solving math program congruent with NCTM standards; a computer lab; foreign language instruction in fifth grade; support services in reading, special education, psychology, resource, speech and language, and ESL; music, art and physical education; cultural arts programs and field trips; the Panther Press Publishing Room, which is fully staffed by volunteer parents; and an active PTSA.
