Wizard, Wine Bar and Winter Solstice

• The Westchester Sandbox Theatre in Mamaroneck will be celebrating the holiday season this year with its family musical A Christmas Wizard of Oz Saturday and Sunday and next week. All the information you need can be found here.

• Sorell Wine Bar & Bistro will have its grand opening Saturday at 5 p.m. The bar will feature various small dishes ranging from paninis and assorted cheeses to salads and fine meats. Sorell Wine Bar & Bistro is located at 282 Huguenot St. in New Rochelle.

• The Bronxville Women's Club transforms itself into a sophisticated coffeehouse every third Friday of the month. On Friday, the performers are Ted Horan, Spanish guitar; Honor Finnegan, a quirky indie folk singer; and singer/guitarist Brooke Campbell. Admission is $5 and includes coffee, tea and munchies. • Winter Solstice Celebration: The REN DAO Wellness Center is hosting an event on Saturday to celebrate the return of the light, “as the days being to lengthen and we begin a new solar cycle.” From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., suggested donation is $10.
