Village Board Meeting, Road Construction and Turkey Trot

Here are a few things going on in and around Larchmont and Mamaroneck this week.

1. The Village of Mamaroneck Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 12. The meeting will be in the courtroom at Village Hall. For the agenda, click here. The meeting will be broadcast live on Verizon FIOS Channels 34, 35 and 36 and Cablevision Channels  75, 76 and 77.

2. The drainage construction project in the Village of Mamaroneck is scheduled to continue Monday through Thursday, August 12-15. The hours of construction are scheduled for 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Click here for details.

3. Registration is now open on active.com for the 47th Annual Mamaroneck Trot, presented by Village of Mamaroneck Recreation, NewRo Runners, Pace BMW, TD Bank and Turkish Meze. The race will take place November 24. More information can be found here.

4. More Bronx River Parkway closures are coming up through White Plains, Scarsdale and Bronxville. Everyone is advised to find alternate routes. Here is more information.

5. There is a massive art exhibit, "Coney Night Maze," at the Neuberger Museum of Art at SUNY Purchase. Inspired by the landmark roller coaster on Coney Island, "The Cyclone," with its hairpin turns and stomach lifting plummets is a sculptural installation, "Coney Night Maze" is an exhibition that runs through September 15th.
