Larchmont Farmers Market Last Day Saturday, Winter Market Opens in January

The winter market will be held indoors in Mamaroneck.

The final Larchmont Farmers Market will be Saturday, but don't worry, the Mamaroneck indoors farmers market begins January 4.

Run by Down to Earth Markets, the Larchmont market will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Metro-North parking lot off Chatsworth Avenue in the Village of Larchmont.

Nicole Reed, Down to Earth's communications and special projects manager, said it would be a good time to stock up for the winter from your favorite vendors at the Larchmont market.

The vendors include American Pride Seafood, Coach Farm for dairy, Dr. Pickle, Gaia's Breath farm, Kiernan Farm for pasture-raised meats, Lani's Farm, Migliorelli Farm, Newgate Farms, Pie Lady & Son, Stone & Thistle Farm for pasture-raised meats and poultry, Tierra Farm for locally roasted nuts, coffee and more and Wave Hill Breads.

"Several of these vendors offer delicious bottled items, such as honey and jams, fresh from their farm kitchens for your holiday lists," Reed said.

Mamaroneck's Down to Earth Winter Farmers Market will have more vendors than ever when the doors open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 4. The market will be open Saturdays through May 17.

The market operates indoors at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 168 W. Boston Post Rd., at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Ave. in Mamaroneck.

Reed said that vendor registrations continue to come in, but confirmed full-season vendors are American Pride Seafood, Meredith's Bread, Orchards of Concklin, Gajeski Produce, Taiim Falafel Shack, Tierra Farm, Gaia's Breath Farm, Orwasher's Bakery, Stone & Thistle Farm and Wave Hill Breads.

There will also be regular day vendor appearances from Kontoulis Family Olive Oil, The Peanut Principle, Flourish Baking Company, Sohha Savory Yogurt, Calcutta Kitchens, Bombay Emerald Chutney Co., Mortgage Apple Cakes, Robinson & Co. Catering Services and Pie Lady & Son.

Reed said there will also be cooking demonstrations and music at the market.
