Brush Bots, Blue Moon and Grad School Open House

Here are just a few of the things you should know for the week ahead.

1. On Monday at 4 p.m. fifth to eighth graders can come to the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.,  to design and build your own Brush Bot and then race and Sumo against others. Participants will be able to keep their Brush Bot at the conclusion of the program. Registration required; call 914-834-2281.

2. Go to Blue Moon Mexican Cafe in Bronxville Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and, if you print out and take the flyer on this page, 20 percent of your bill (excluding taxes and gratuity) will be donated to Gabi's Gold Fund and research for Neuroblastoma. See the information here for the details.

3. Maria Idoni of the Westchester Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be holding a free “safeTalk” Suicide Prevention Training course at Molly Spillane’s Private Banquet Room, 211 Mamaroneck Ave. in Mamaroneck Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It's free, but you need to RSVP. Here's all the information you need

4. The College of New Rochelle is holding a Graduate School Open House at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Maura Ballroom, 29 Castle Pl. in New Rochelle. Master's degrees are available in 25 areas including, Art Therapy/counseling, Career Development, Communications, Educational Leadership, Gerontology, Mental Health Counseling, and School Psychology. RSVP Admissions at 800-933-5923.
