Mayor Norman Sirlin Rosenblum and Deputy Mayor Louis N. Santoro announce their official re-election campaign for Mayor and Trustee in the November 5, 2013, Village of Mamaroneck election.

Rosenblum and Santoro, both life long residents of the Village, are the current office holders who will continue their promised platform of the past four years to bring the Village forward, emphasizing the basic ideals of the democratic process with the ever increasing participation of all residents, business and volunteers for the betterment of the Village.

Rosenblum stated…”I welcome once again the opportunity to give the voters a clear choice in this election, which is to continue to move the Village forward. We have and will continue to deliver our campaign promises as demonstrated during the past four years, working for the best interests of the “Friendly Village”. It is an opportunity and honor that both Lou and I hold dear. Our dedication is one of enjoyment and satisfaction of completed goals and future endeavors and we both appreciate the trust put with us by the voters and respectfully seek their continued support….”

This will be a clear choice against our opposition’s “returning back to the future” and personal agendas. Our record clearly demonstrates our dedication for active flood mitigation, support for community programs such as Mamaroneck Shares, Spooktacular, Parades’ honoring Volunteer Firemen, Memorial Day, Halloween, Carly Rose Sonenclar, St. Patrick’s’ Day, etc.

Our (VOM) quality of life continues to improve with our supporting and enabling our volunteer residents and groups such as the Harbor Island Conservancy’s continued improvement of Harbor Island Park, Katherine & Jim  Desmond and Sara Evans opening our new Marine Education Center; The Circle of Peace program …. to name just a few of the incredible number of volunteers with our numerous VOM boards and committees bettering the “Friendly Village”.

Lou Santoro added…”We had the lowest tax increase in modern Village history during our first term 2009 and we continue to be watchdogs over the budget process and the opportunity to bring in this year’s and last year’s budget under the 2% tax cap….. Norman and I will make it very clear what is at stake in this election and are confident we will have a successful and clearly mandated re-election by the voters of the Village of Mamaroneck.”

Both Rosenblum and Santoro emphasized the importance of the need to ease the burden of the real estate based tax burden on the residents and business in order to continue the great viability that we have witnessed over the past four years. … “We are in the process of completing the Transit Oriented Development study and its’ recommendations;….The long sought after flood mitigation solutions by working closely with the Army Corp of Engineers and Congressman Engle, with very possible solutions within the next year; ….The current review for increased parking and parking structures …; The long term capital investment and infrastructure programs that improves our health, safety and welfare  and continuing the reasons why the Village of Mamaroneck continues to be the destination for new residents and business with the best “quality of life” possible… And most importantly the recognition and support of all our volunteers”…

Rosenblum and Santoro have the endorsements of the

Republican, Independence and Conservative parties.
