Mamaroneck village officials announced a two-week delay (at least) in opening the fields for play.
They'll look at the fields again April 14.
To all community members and organized sports teams:
Due to the delay in the Spring thaw, and heavy amounts of snow that fell during the season and that remain on the fields in Harbor Island Park, Spring field use is being delayed two (2) weeks until after April 13, 2014.
We will re-evaluate the conditions of the fields on Monday, April 14, 2014, and issue a new update after that.
