Parents Petition for Mamaroneck School Busing Changes

The following announcement is from the Mamaroneck Fairness for All Kids Coalition:

The proposed district transportation policies for the Mamaroneck Union Free School District, which would force many children to take public transit unsupervised for up to three hours a day, have drawn an outcry from people throughout the Mamaroneck-Larchmont community.

At this week’s meeting of the Mamaroneck Union Free School District School Board, leaders of the Fairness For All Kids Coalition will present the Board members with petitions against the proposed change. In addition, the coalition will present the Board members with dozens of letters from churchgoers concerned about how the change will effect their families and community.
