In a schedule in place through Friday, October 4, Metro-North continues to operate New Haven Line service at 65% of regular capacity.
The schedule is available on the MTA schedules page. See service details. See Free Emergency Park & Ride Info.
According to the MTA an increase in power capacity to Con Edison's temporary substations allowed for some additional trains this week, but regular service won't return until full power capacity of the Mount Vernon substation is restored.
Con Edison said on Monday they continue to "work around-the-clock to reconnect the 138kV feeder that had been removed from service several weeks ago to accommodate Metro-North’s system upgrade work."
Con Ed expects the work to be completed by Monday, October 7th, resulting in full service to the New Haven line. Also, according to the statement, the company will conduct a review of the incident and have extensive discussions with the MTA regarding contingency planning once work is complete.
