Leatherstocking Trail Closure from July 21- Aug 15, 2014
The Town of Mamaroneck Conservation Department will be reconstructing the boardwalk located on the Leatherstocking Trail between Country Road and Old White Plains Road. This section of trail will be closed starting Monday, July 21st and is expected to reopen by August 15th. Unfortunately, no alternative routes are available for residents to bypass this location while the work is underway. Please do not attempt to walk or run through this area during this time. The conditions are extremely muddy and we do not want the surrounding wetlands vegetation to be trampled by foot traffic. In addition, poison ivy is dense alongside the boardwalk.
