Two Hurt in Weaver Street Accident

Two people were reported injured in an early-morning accident today on Weaver Street in Mamaroneck.

The accident at Arrowhead Lane was reported at around 4:20 a.m. and led to the closing of Weaver Street for several hours.

Occupants of the car were rescued from the wreck by Mamaroneck town firefighters.

Town of Mamaroneck Police officer injured and taken to hospital by ambulance after another driver crashed into telephone pole. Police officer J. Galbo was attempting to remove passengers from crushed side of vehicle in the Weaver Street accident Friday morning. Another be hicks side swiped the telephone pole, causing it to hit Officer Galbo in the back and arm, throwing him to the ground. He was treated for injuries at White Plains hospital. This was not reported in Journal News or on News 12.
