A 16-year-old New Jersey teen has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after he killed a squirrel with a skateboard, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

An investigation by a Lacey Township Police officer indicated that the teen was being chased after he had just purposely killed a gray squirrel with a skateboard, Paprota said.

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and charges have been forwarded to the juvenile court for the cruelty, police said.

Is this fair treatment of the juvenile or is it going too far? Please vote on our poll or offer a comment.
