New Rochelle Man Arrested on Child Pornography and Weapons Charges

After a four-month investigation, New York State Police at Hawthorne arrested Anthony J. Sanfratello, 58, of New Rochelle for Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, an E Felony, earlier today. 

Sanfratello was arrested after police seized computers at his home during a search warrant and a subsequent forensic examination identified several child pornography images, according to the police report.

"State Police received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children center in Albany, N.Y., indicating that Sanfratello was receiving child pornography through his AOL account," police said. 

In addition to the child pornography charges, Sanfratello is also facing three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree "after a set of brass knuckles, a stun gun, and a switchblade knife were found during the execution of the search warrant," reports said.  He will be arraigned in the City of New Rochelle Court.
