Man Robbed At Gunpoint in Town of Mamaroneck

A 45-year-old man was robbed by a man brandishing a gun on Tuesday night.

A man was robbed at gunpoint in the Town of Mamaroneck by a masked man on Tuesday night, Jan. 17 at 10:20 p.m.

The victim—a 45-year-old town resident—was walking down Glenn Road toward Valley Road, several blocks over from , when he was approached from behind by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded that he empty his pockets and hand over the backpack he was carrying, said Lt. Robert Koziak, spokesperson for the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.

After the man handed over his personal property, the perpetrator fled on Glenn Road toward North Chatsworth.  The perpetrator was described as a black male, 5’7”, 175 lbs, wearing dark clothing and a black mask.

The pilfered property included a computer, iPhone, Kindle, a credit card, some personal papers and $3 in cash. 

There were no injuries reported.  The Town of Mamaroneck Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to contact them at (914) 361-6100.
