Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train at Mamaroneck Station

Victim apparently committed suicide.

A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metro-North Railroad train at the Mamaroneck station in an apparent suicide Saturday morning.

Sergeant Ryan Doherty, an MTA communications officer, confirmed the incident to Patch.

"It appears that he jumped in front of the train in an apparent suicide," said Sgt. Doherty.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:03 a.m. and involved a southbound train. The male, whose identity is unknown at this time, died at the scene. The train engineer and passengers suffered no injuries.

No other information is available at this time.

According to the MTA Web site, New Haven line passengers will experience 5-to-10 minute delays in both directions for all Stamford local trains due to the incident.

NEVER meaning somebody just falling on the unprotected tracks accidentically and being run over which has to happen. Always 100 yards away trespassing or suicide the people hear.

So why don't you cut your railroad puppet strings and do your own investigation?
