The parking in Nyack is illogical and ridiculous. Many of my friends will no longer meet in Nyack for a meal or a drink, we prefer New City, Pearl River, or even Tarrytown. Parking rules are straight forward and simple. However, I recently spent the night in Nyack and have found a easy way to beat the mayor's brain-buster of a plan. I arrived around 7PM and parked for free in the big lot, went to dinner, and on my way back to my friend's condo, I moved my car to one of the side streets (where the meters only go until 9). Because my boyfriend and a few other friends still live in Nyack I will continue to go there, when their leases are up and they move (because living in Nyack is not worth the trouble) I will not be returning.

Sometimes I think they are trying to drive business away from Nyack. The new times are ridiculous unless you are purposely trying to fool most people into getting ticket. Really????

Still confusing. I didn't realize that the new parking rules only covers certain streets? Also there still remains the 3 or 4 hour time limit even when no fee is required.

People are dying in Syria and you are complaining about spending $1 or $2 for parking? Get some perspective.
