Obituary: Journalist Mary Jayne McKay dies at age 65
Former longtime Larchmont resident died at her Manhattan home.
Mary Jayne McKay, who was a longtime Larchmont resident, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home in Manhattan. She was 65.
She was executive producer for CBS Digital and had been editor of The Daily Times of Larchmont and Mamaroneck and The Standard Star in New Rochelle.
Born in October 1947, in Syosset, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph Becht and Dorothy Wallace. She was a 1969 graduate of the College of New Rochelle.

Mary Jayne was a member of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan and St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.
She is survived by sons Trevor, Drew and Justin; a daughter, Alison; sisters Carolyn Dammers and Barbara Cannizzaro; and, a niece, Shannon Damers. She is predeceased by her parents and her niece Meghan Dammers McCormick.

Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 7, and Friday, Feb. 8, at John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Augustine Church, 18 Cherry Ave., Larchmont. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, New Rochelle.
