Lorraine Currelley is a poet, spoken word artist, writer, educator, mental health counselor, human rights and mental health advocate. She's the founder and nurturer of Poets Network & Exchange, a positive, safe, nurturing and supportive space for poets and writers. Poets Network (PN&E) offers and facilitates poetry and creative writing workshops, produces featured poetry readings, open mics and literary events.
Lorraine Currelley is the former first and only president of The Harlem Arts Fund. She holds a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Thanatology (grief and bereavement.) When she’s not writing poetry, she writes for scientific and literary publications on social, mental health, and grief and bereavement issues.
She sits on the Advisory Panel for Writing For Peace.
