Why this blog?
What is not always appreciated are the collective eyes and ears of everyone around us. Each one of us have different perspectives, viewpoints and ideas about anything and everything that takes place in our community. Yet, only a handful proactively and regularly take action on them. Take for example Spooktacular. Now a Village of Mamaroneck Halloween tradition that community members have created. The Village supports the initiative whole heartedly but it's driven, run, organized and executed by members of our community and the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce. On the other hand, when issues arise, we need to hear those community voices too. This is important since we can't all be everywhere at one time.
So to begin, I want to thank everyone in the community and invite you to share your ideas and opinions (privately is absolutely ok! - I know some of you are shy). Following in the footsteps of some great Village Residents, you can even make a difference.
