Get Free Health Screening at Mamaroneck Winter Farmers Market

When you head to the Mamaroneck Winter Farmers Market Saturday, you can get a free health screening.

The screenings will be conducted by HealthSource Chiropractic & Progressive Rehab, located in Rye Brook.

The indoor market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 168 W. Boston Post Rd. in Mamaroneck.

Frankie Rowland, marketing director for Down to Earth Markets, which runs the farmers markets, said that having health screenings a farmers market is a "natural fit."

"Individual shoppers could take immediate action to improve their health by picking up some free recipes, talking with vendors about preparation ideas and cooking fresh and healthier meals," she said.

"The health screening could lead to an entire series of events that ultimately lead to more and healthier family meals spent together as a family," Rowland said.
