Gilda's Club Westchester 10th Annual Celebration of Life Peggy Hirschberg Bridge & Canasta Tournament

Playing Bridge For A Cause --Gilda’s Club Westchester 10TH Annual  Celebration of Life Peggy Hirschberg Bridge Tournament (including Canasta) on Thursday, November 3rd at the Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck, NY-

From friendly weekly bridge clubs and community games, to major fundraisers – bridge has become one of today’s most popular social sports.  For the past 10 years, Gilda’s Club Westchester has hosted The Annual Celebration of Life Peggy Hirschberg Bridge Tournament, underwritten by a group of women who sponsor this event in honor of their friend who died of cancer. This bridge tournament, to be held for the tenth consecutive year on Thursday, November 3rd at the Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck, NY, will begin with a lunch at 11:30am. The event was created in honor of Peggy Hirschberg, who was a notable bridge player from Mamaroneck.

The event is timely as the fall months of September, October and November have become synonymous with promoting cancer awareness. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month; September was Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month; and November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
