Sheldrake Environmental Center (SEC) is
proudly preparing for its annual “Party on the Pond – Celebrating Nature with
Sheldrake” event. The fundraising gala, scheduled for June 12, 2014 at 6:30pm,
will be held along the shoreline of the Larchmont Reservoir, offering a unique
opportunity for the community to come together and explore the conservancy
property in its evening splendor.
Last year’s launch of the event was a huge
success with 200+ guests attending. Sheldrake’s goal this year is to raise over
$50,000 in funds to support development of new community programs and to fund
expansion of its extensive school programs.

This year, SEC will honor Carol Casazza Herman, environmentalist,
for her outstanding service to Sheldrake and the community as well as Maria
Cisneros and Judith Weber, owners of Recologie
Lifestyle, Inc. As Weber states, “We are honored to be recognized by
Sheldrake Environmental Center as we are so aligned with each other’s missions.
Our goal, like SEC’s, is to inspire change and raise awareness as to how we all
can contribute to the health of our planet through the choices we make daily.” Sheldrake is excited about their
honorees, and pleased to acknowledge their outstanding commitment to the
