Angelica, a women’s chamber choir
hailed for its “perfect blend” and
“beautiful, transcendent sound,” directed by Marie Caruso, will present a
concert featuring works by Hildegard von Bingen, Josquin des Prez, selections
from the Cantigas de Santa Maria and the Llibre Vermell de
Montserrat. Also included in the program are modern works by Javier Busto,
Maurice Duruflé, Ola Gjeilo, and Michelle Roueché. Joining Angelica will be
guest artists Jerry Celestino, lute; Matthew Stauffer, cello; and Ed Pitaro,
percussion.
