C. Parker Gallery Exhibition "Just Add Water"

Greenwich, CT - Just when there
seems to be no relief from the heat and humidity of summer, the C. Parker
Gallery
offers a refreshing respite. “Just Add Water” a group
exhibition celebrates the wondrous days of summer. Selected members of
the gallery’s roster in conjunction with several guest artists use both
traditional iconography and contemporary metaphor to explore summer’s bounty.

Highlights of the exhibition are Igor
Korotash’s large-scale waterscapes which vividly capture the essence of the summer
season. With their kaleidoscopic palette and exuberant strokes, the artist’s
work appears playful and effortless. Like a memory deeply etched, the Greenwich
artist Victoria Brooks Melly’s landscapes are pensive and dreamlike. Sea foam
green and misty blues draw their inspiration from the waters reflections and
shimmering haze of the summers’ sun. Painter Denis Folz employs a minimalist
approach to rendering the terrain. His deconstructed waterscapes with their
implied horizon line are immensely powerful.

Please join us at the C. Parker Gallery and partake in a bit
of this cooling summer refreshment. “Just
Add Water”
runs from August 1st - 30th, with an opening
reception on Thursday, August 7, 5:30 – 8:00pm.
