Mamaroneck Re-elects Mayor Rosenblum

Elections were held in the Village of Mamaroneck Tuesday.

UPDATE 7:12 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013: Deputy Mayor Louis Santoro said that final results in the race for Village Trustee between him and Kerry Stein showed Santoro as the winner. The county Board of Election unofficial results show two districts still not reporting.

Mamaroneck voters ushered an incumbent mayor back into office and ousted the deputy mayor.

Incumbent Mamaroneck Village Mayor Norman Rosenblum, R-C-I, was re-elected over challenger Clark Neuringer, D.

In the sole village trustee race, Deputy Mayor Louis R. Santoro, R-C-I, behind in the race against challenger Kerry Stein, D, as of 11:30 p.m.

Mamaroneck Town Supervisor Nancy Seligson was not challenged in the election and will be returning for another term.

Incumbent Town Councilman Ernest Odierna and Incumbent Councilwoman Janine Elkind were not opposed for re-election.

Democrat Catherine Parker is the apparent winner over Republican John Verni, according to unofficial returns from the county Board of Elections, for the District 7 Legislature seat.

Parker is a Rye city councilwoman and small business owner. Verni is an attorney and real estate redeveloper.

District 7 contains Mamaroneck, Rye, Larchmont and parts of New Rochelle and Harrison. Legislators are elected for a two-year term with a base salary of $49,200 per year.
