Thousands of spectators lined Mamaroneck Avenue Sunday as the 2nd Annual Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade brought out the Irish in everyone. Hundreds of marchers including bands, emergency service workers, scouts, schoolchildren and Irish heritage organizations painted the town green in a huge display of Irish pride.
In addition to all the fun, the parade is doing some good. As Patch previously reported, the Sound Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee will be donating two $2,500 college scholarships to high school seniors from Harrison, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Pelham, Port Chester or Rye who are involved with Irish charities or community organizations.
