For those of us who've been wishing for a reprieve from the heat wave that has kept much of Westchester County indoors this week, you may be in luck.
Temperatures are expected to cool down significantly over the weekend—reaching a high of 87 degrees tomorrow—however, severe thunderstorms may put a damper on things until then.
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). There is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms with heavy rains possible, mostly before 9 p.m., according to the forecast.
